Perfect for Screen Printing Stencils!
Using the plastic-coated side, often referred to as the shiny side, you are able to create detailed stencils with ease. Simply draw or trace your design directly onto the smooth and glossy surface, making it ideal for intricate and detailed artwork. This then creates a barrier that prevents the ink from bleeding and producing crisp, clean edges.
How to create your stencil
Creating a stencil is super easy and can be done by anyone, no matter the skill level in Screen Printing. You can create a stencil in these 3 Simple Steps:
- Design
Begin by designing your artwork on a piece of paper or using graphic design software, ensuring it fits within the desired print area. Plan for any necessary mirroring, especially for text or symmetrical designs.
- Tracing and Mirroring
Place the Freezer Paper on a flat surface, shiny (plastic-coated) side down. Trace or draw your design onto the matte side of the freezer paper
on the print side side (not where the ink sits). If your design requires mirroring, flip the design horizontally during this step.
- Ready to Print
Cut out the design carefully using a
craft knife. With the shiny side facing up, position the stencil on the screen mesh, ensuring it is aligned with the desired print area. Secure the freezer paper stencil to the screen using
tape, and that's it! You are now ready for printing.
Purchasing your Reynolds Plastic Coated Freezer Paper
Choose your length from the drop down menu. If you'd like other lengths to those listed, just buy multiple amounts. ie If you want 2 meters, buy 1m twice. All amounts will be sent in a continuous piece, so a 5m length will be a 5m length, not 5x 1m lengths. The item will be carefully folded. If you'd like no folds or creases, simply choose '12m Roll' in the length options and we'll post it as a roll.
